Empowering Women Through Livelihood

This week’s Inspiration comes from the International Convocation of Unitarian Universalist Women (ICUUW):

This is a clip from “Palangitan-An.” The full film can be viewed here:

In January 2012, thirty Filipinas came together for three days in Barangay Doldol, Philippines, to explore livelihood ideas that could expand their opportunities and enhance the quality of life for themselves and their families.

The International Convocation of UU Women (ICUUW), the UU Church of Annapolis, and NEW Pathways to Enterprise™ joined resources, energies, and ideas as sponsors of this powerful, community-based meeting of the minds. Through “Palangitan-An,” the filmmakers at Grainey Pictures capture candid interviews and highlights of what transpired, powerfully expressing how the weaving of global partnerships can enrich women’s lives, in the Philippines and beyond.

To find out more about women’s projects in the Philippines or how you can get involved, join International Women’s Convocation’s webinar on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at 10 AM Eastern. To register, email ICUUW.
